At least once a week you should open your Ammodor and check your humidor to make sure everything is ok. This not only allows some fresh air in but also gives you a chance to verify the temperature and humidity of your box. If you have a Ammodor brand humidifier, recharge it by adding distilled water or PG Solution (do NOT tap water).
Keep in mind that Ammodors are air tight – so it’s possible they can over humidify if you leave them closed for too long and/or use too much PG Solution in your humidifier. Let your hygrometer do it’s job – it will tell you if your box has too much or too little humidity. When humidified properly it should read 70-75% humidity. Adjust your humidifier fluid levels according to your personal preferences.

The exterior of your Ammodor can be wiped clean with any gentle household cleaning agent like soap, 409, rubbing alcohol, Goo Gone, etc. The interior can be wiped with a damp soft cloth using distilled water or PG Solution.
