We spend about 30 minutes cleaning EVERY ammo can before we start building.
We purchase only the highest quality Grade 1, authentic surplus ammo cans from reputable suppliers. We order by the dozens and once they arrive at our workshop, our extensive cleaning and sterilization process begins.
First, we thoroughly wash and scrub the entire interior and exterior of each can with warm water and antibacterial soap to remove any dirt and debris. Next, we wash each can with distilled white vinegar, scrub and rinse to remove any odors or bacteria. Finally, we let each can sit for couple of weeks – open with a container of baking soda in each to dry and absorb any lingering odors.
After every can is converted into an Ammodor, the interior and exterior is blown off with compressed air to remove any saw dust from the construction process. Prior to applying our self adhesive felt bottom and Ammodor brand decal, we wipe the exterior down with rubbing alcohol.
The end result is an ammo can as clean and fresh as possible – just like the day it was new.
